The holidays are just around the corner, and Hamilton is greeting the season with joy, delicious treats, non-stop shopping and more Holiday fun than ever before. Experience the events that our community has enjoyed for generations, or discover new holiday traditions you’ll only find here in Hamilton.

Hamilton for the Holidays kicks off on Thursday, November 16th, with a tree lighting in the German Village Historic District, complete with elementary school carolers and an appearance by Hamilton’s Mayor. The celebration continues into the weekend with Music on Main on November 17th, a Main Street shop-hop filled with holiday music and festivities. And on Saturday, November 18th, celebrate Hamilton’s Annual Tree Lighting at the Butler County Courthouse. Bring the kids to meet with Santa, enjoy horse and carriage rides, and even see some of Santa’s reindeers!

Another sure sign the holidays have come to Hamilton: Pyramid Hill opens its gates for its annual drive-through holiday light exhibit. From November 17th through December 31st, enjoy a dazzling display of over a million lights and laser light displays strewn across the trees, gardens and sculptures of a 2-mile round trip.

After you’ve recovered from your Thanksgiving celebration (try Thanksgiving lunch at The Coach House, the only Top 10 Greater Cincinnati Diner’s Choice restaurant in Butler County, for a feast close to home), visit Hamilton’s shopping district on Small Business Saturday. On November 25th, High and Main Streets are open for business! Find the perfect gifts for everyone on your list and support your local businesses at the same time. You’ll know you’re shopping in Hamilton when music fills the streets and you can grab a tasty treat at The Almond Sisters or some hot cocoa at True West. Grab some lunch at the High Street Cafe, or check out our newest resaturant, Basil 1791, in case you need to recharge before more shopping.

December brings ChristkindlMarkt to the Courtyard by Marriott, an authentic German Christmas market complete with German Food, Beer & Wine and a traditional Children’s Lantern Parade. The weekend-long event is capped with the annual German Village Christmas Walk on Sunday. Experience Victorian Hamilton, touring historical buildings, private residences and businesses all decorated for the season.

With all this holiday spirit flooding the streets of Hamilton, your favorite urban flea market couldn’t resist joining in the fun with their first ever Holiday Flea! Check out Fleaz Navidad on December 9th in the German Village for one last fabulous holiday shopping spree!

The holiday season in Hamilton wouldn’t be complete without must-see shows at The Fitton Center for Creative Arts: “Celebrate the Season” from the Children’s Theater of Cincinnati on Friday, December 1st, followed by “A Fitton Family Christmas” with three showings from Friday, December 8th through Sunday, December 10th.
